NP San Diego Programs
NPSD supports Nonviolent Peaceforce International by:
- Promoting the sale of NP Peace Bonds (beautiful, meaningful gifts suitable for framing @ $10, $25, $50, $100, $250, $500) These can be viewed on NP's International Web site.
- Producing Informational and/or Fundraising Events, both public & invitational gatherings.
- Writing Articles, Placing Ads and Information in publications & selected List Servers
- Tabling at Peace & Sustainability Fairs & Rallies at receptive sites
- Seeking New Venues such as radio, newspaper, or TV interviews
- Conducting Local Training for Nonviolent Conflict Intervention (NCI): NPSD Facilitators will demonstrate and teach techniques of Nonviolent Conflict Intervention, methods used successfully by NP Field Team Members in dangerous international crises. These techniques can be used to intervene in community, workplace, organization, and family conflicts, and will also increase personal communication skills of participants. Facilitators are local NP San Diego volunteers who have been trained by NP. These workshops can be one day, half day, or several 2-hour sessions.
Cost:Sliding Scale = $25 - $85 (1 day, includes on-site breakfast & lunch).
Money received in excess of actual costs will be a donation to Nonviolent Peaceforce NCI Training Fund.Contact for Training:
